Even in Brett Kavanaugh-adjusted terms, Brett Kavanaugh's opinion in the pro-racial profiling case is absolute dreck. The man is simply not very bright, and I continue to be astonished by how willing he apparently is to humiliate himself in public ballsandstrikes.org/scotus/kavan...

Slap-on-the-wrist punishment for gross corporate malfeasance is exemplary of the white collar crime free for all of the last several decades. The criminal impunity of the wealthy elite is the story of our age, and it must end.

Fascism is everything all at once. The transformation of the present with brutality and violence paired with a darkening vision of the future and the constant cannibalization and reforming of the past. It's not just a political project, it is an existential battle and we must treat it as such.

This new #JWST image is stunning. It's planetary nebula NGC 6072, a dying red giant that's expelling shells of dust and gas out into space. Those shells are really clear with this JWST MIRI (Mid-Infrared Instrument) image. In about five billion years, our own Sun will look like this as it dies.

We're in uncharted territory with this SCOTUS. They're making decisions--without regard to precedent, without regard to norms, without regard to justice, without regard to the impact on the rule of law in the U.S., without regard to consequences, and very often with a complete lack of transparency.
