I used to watch it in re-runs. When you lived in the boonies in the 1970s and 1980s, you have to settle for whatever the six television stations you picked up had on hand.
There was this one early 80s made-for-TV movie where some astronauts went to Mars, but the martians made the landing site look like Earth and were masquerading as people the astronauts knew, and eventually killed them all. It freaked me out, but I only have a very vague recollection of it.

GMD was pretty sweet, NGL, but for me it was probably "Bedknobs and Broomsticks," a movie with a final act that gave me perpetual nightmares.
