Me too! I thought very long & hard about becoming an archeologist. Seriously, then I spoke w/ the dept head & he told me ( I was non-traditional student= older) that I probably wouldn’t do well bc the younger students usually get selected for research/digs & such. But I still love it.

Yes…um…NY has several accents…Brooklyn is totally different than Bronx, Queens, & Long island! I usually can tell them apart.❤️ My accent is a typical “educated” Mass accent. Like I pronounce all my vowels🤣…but what gives me away are my expressions…wicked, grinder, pie=pizza, that kind of stuff.😁

No, I just get the health insurance. I have a stipend I live on. But it’s just barely enough to live on. I cant turn on dm’s bc of the hackers. They’ve already done in my main acct. Rather not talk about looking for job, I have really given up on it. I’m just going to do what I love which is art.
Not sixty yet! When I was applying for those positions I was 55 yrs old which is the same difference I suppose. I don’t look that old, been told that anyway. My profile pic is the real me. All natural. But yes ageism is ridiculous.
Well according to the ppl who hire, that’s what I was told & why I didn’t get those positions 🤷🏼♀️ They said they wanted ppl who had experience with coding & working in medical offices. I don’t have that experience. So, I stopped applying to medical offices positions.
Yes. Medical field requires coding experience, & I don’t do that. Now I’m 60 yrs old in Sept. so ageism played a factor in not landing a job too. I’m just creating art now, I’m also a fine artist too. Drawing, painting, & sculpting. That’s what I love doing.

Yes, there are sectors within jewelry industry. The jews don’t let any outsiders in at all. So diamonds & all those businesses they have are closed to non-jews. Box stores, big chains, don’t pay any kind if living wage. Doing repairs is literally a nightmare to deal with, & I never want to do that.
I am artistic, but good at math & science too. Well before & throughout school I worked as an office manager/accounting associate. That’s why running a business was something I was already good at. When my biz faltered I went & earned my MBA so I could get a decent job in accounting or office mgmt
Cool name😁 Yes I worked really hard bc that’s what I dreamed of doing with my life. But that dream crashed & burned. I couldn’t find a job, financial crisis 2008, opened my business …then that had to be shutdown. Now I’m painting & still can’t find a decent job after earning a MBA.🤷🏼♀️

Yes, went to pharmacy two years ago for Covid shot & the kid placed shot too low on my arm…it went into the nerves!😳 I was in so much pain it made me scream & lasted for weeks afterwards. I still think he did it on purpose. I would rather not repeat that experience.💔

That’s totally true. Also, I’m a fine jewelry artist. I have been highly trained, I’m not someone who just decided one day to wire-wrap or string beads together. I work in gold & silver using precious gems, creating expensive art jewelry.
