I’ve got to ask, what would be your worst case and best case scenario self-merch to be found dead in?

Do you want to teach either topic at a tertiary level? Or is your reason for getting a doctorate something else? Also, do you have any plans to become a college or uni president?

I don’t know this woman or the situation, but I can still tell you the answer is that she’s invested in the popular myth that if everyone just did everything “right” according to clear rules & directions they’d be just fine. Anyone who struggles therefore didn’t follow the rules & are at fault.

I mean the only thing most people know about Susan Collins is that she’s spineless. I would guess there’s lots of people who know about her regular habit of rolling over for GOP leadership at the last minute, but don’t actually know which state she represents. Weak is practically her brand.

I think that would be a particularly cute one to see larger, like life-sized or something appropriate for a public art sculpture of some kind. I could imagine it outside a museum or a kid’s park. Something to attract the eye and bring folks in for a closer look, you know?

Ahhhhh! So cute!

It's moments like these when I am reminded that not only is Trump racist, appalling, corrupt, and a convicted felon....he's also just really, really weird. This is just a genuinely bizarre take on museums and what they should include. They're museums, not sizzle reels.

That's very odd. I wonder if they are hand assigning the classes? If this is electronic, the course flow instructions have to be way, way off.

Amy Tureen (@atureen.bsky.social) reply parent
While I agree student surveys are primarily useful for identifying exceptionally bad teachers, they can be crafted so that some useful information can be gleaned. For example, MPOW’s surveys ask if the faculty made explicit connections between the course content & future career skills or knowledge.
