RIP Graham Greene. Every time he popped up on screen when I was a kid, my mom would excitedly point him out for being an actual Native on the screen. Able to be deadly serious and infinitely hilarious (even in smaller roles like Last of Us), he ate up the screen. Nʌki’wah brother.

Aw, shoot. My own favorite role of Greene's was the slightly sleazy evangelist Slick Nakai in the PBS "American Mystery" adaptations of Tony Hillerman's "Leaphorn & Chee" novels, but he added a spark to just about anything he was in. He will be missed.

I just rewatched Thunderheart. He was fantastic. He was humorous while still maintaining dignity and respect for his people. Great actor, great man.
