I once buried a roadkill badger, probably rather inadequately, (hard, rocky soil) and, presumably, its family, dug it up again. Also seen old human bones dug up by foxes and even rabbits. If called upon to bury pets where there are badgers, I tend to go deep and include a substantial concrete slab.

One of my goals post-current employer is to get fit, and to that end I’m looking at GPS watches. I used to have a Garmin Forerunner, now lost to the mists of time, and they still look decent but I’d also like to be able to upload GPX for walks - any recommendations? Ta.
My, admittedly limited, use of maps on a watch was, surprisingly, more successful. A bloke who is out and about in the Highlands a lot, after initial scepticism, became a great enthusiast for his Garmin. (Though always had a paper map in his Bergen!)
My experiences with a couple of (cheap) smart watches over the years has been less than impressive. C.15-20% error on steps. My trusty old pedometer, which I calibrated, was only 2-3%out. I have heard that the very high end watches, notably Suunto, are a little more reliable.
Sympathy. I have sporadically attempted to improve since teenage years. There must be a crash course. After all it's not rocket science - or is that why Elon's spaceships keep exploding: the great engineer is rubbish with the soldering iron?
