I'd love to see Gov Shapiro sign an order like the one in New Mexico that authorizes the state's pharmacists to administer the new vax even without federal recommendation. Seems like something he might actually do, but he hasn't, so....
I feel bad for individual pharmacists who know perfectly well what they should be able to do but are getting told they can't by corporate overlords who don't want to get fined or sued by the Trump regime, or who don't want to risk having to wrestle with insurance companies to pay for shots.

The more I see this clip, the more twisted it gets--not just that the claim is exactly backwards; it's that he labels expertise as disloyalty even at the same time he insists that he's...wait for it...an authority. The fact that a Kennedy is saying this to the Swanson foods heir is just a bonus.

Goes even further than that. Not only does it unambiguously not give him this authority, it unambiguously gives it to the states. In language a 4th-grader can read and understand. He has no more power over this than he has over traffic laws in Kosovo.

I would just refuse to answer the question. When I get asked whether someone's application would get them a positive recommendation in my department, I just don't respond because it's a ridiculous question. Since only 1 person I've written for wasn't successful, it's clearly not hurting the cause.

They hate vaccines because they're eugenicists who think people that need vaccines are polluting the gene pool. I think your point is also true, and they're not mutually exclusive. But don't underestimate how much they think people who are "weak" should just die.
This isn't true in some states where pharmacies won't schedule anyone until after the CDC advisory committee meets. I'm in PA, one of those states. So if you can't get scheduled yet, don't panic, but it'll be another couple of weeks.

This notion of debate is akin to making everything subject to opinion polling. Asking people if they "believe in climate change" positions belief as salient. Yes, it's helpful to know when people don't accept science, but we can find that out without authorizing disbelief as a meaningful category.
