I use several old plastic trash cans with holes poked in them for air and drainage. It’s cheap but more work because I have to manually stir them every now and then but I discovered that leaving them alone to stew for a year or two will result in most everything breaking down. It just takes longer.

The burden of having your healthcare dropped at the whim of an employer (who usually underpays you), now soon the government for a lot of people, or having your claim denied by a greedy corporation is terrifying. People have no idea what it’s like until they’re in it.
Thank you. Seeing those kind of comments aimed at people who actively oppose everything going on with this regime we didn’t vote for and are stuck with because our politicians appear useless atm just piles on more horribleness to an already unbearable situation.
And yes we have COBRA but most people don’t realize that the unemployed person is now on the hook for the full premium which in my state is $1400 a month. It’s not a perk, it’s a boon to the insurance industry.
The thing these people who scream “DO MORE” is the fact that the US has no safety net. We have barely have any time off w/ pay. If you’re arrested you will probably lose your job, if you lose your job you have NO HEALTH INSURANCE & no income. Most of us are one incident away from bankruptcy.

And then they’d give all the books to the same handful of bloggers who could never possibly read them all. Ugh, if anything the behavior seems to have become much worse 😞
And I can’t ever find it again. It drives me a little grrrr. Which brings me back to the value of blogs/niche websites. Stuff is always there. It’s maddening to hear that a few PR/pubs turn down arc requests from passionate readers due to their reach or perceived lack of.
I will clarify because people are very passionate in the book community, I’m not saying other book review outlets (TikTok, insta etc) are less work but because of the algorithm people will only see what the algorithm shows & I’ve seen things go by that I’m interested in and the screen resets
As always and especially now, I'd like to showcase smaller and new accounts to give them a boost because some pubs are rejecting people for smaller followings. Reviewing & blogging is harder work than people think & most quit so be kind to them if you want them to keep doing what they're doing. 💜
