Volunteers don't just 'rock up and start', they'll have onboarding, legal and compliance training. All their actions are performed within a legal framework that they are responsible for operating within. Given that people will be watching them very closely I would expect early disciplinary action.
When I taught various humanities subjects in the 80s I always answered this question with examples of transferable skill that were relevant to the students.
And this doesn't even start to look at different learning styles and neurodiversity.
