Just to be clear, I was looking at the numbers on the left, which are for Musk. For Trump it would be 44% gave “1” as a response.
I don’t know if they provided labels or just gave a scale (my hunch is they only labeled 1 and 7 and just presented 2-6 without labeling). But to suggest that a score of 2 represents “at least somewhat justified” is total BS.
Just so everyone understands, when they say they “excluded” scores of 1, they mean they’re in the base but not included in the %s shown in the chart. So assuming there wasn’t a don’t know option, that means 49.8% of left/center said “God no, it’s never acceptable.1.”
