A comfortable life used to be the American Dream. Not being a financial mogul. Not fighting for the top spot on the food chain. Working to get your share of the pie with the whip cream on top. Grabbing enough food to fill your plate, but leaving plenty on the table for others. Letβs do that again.

Mom died a year ago today. It feels like so much longer and no time at all. In the last year, I've taken over as the disabled one and Dad's taken over as the hospital frequent flier. I miss her so much at times, but mostly I'm glad she's out of constant pain & not here to see [gestures expensively]
