I was chatting to a lady in the online writing group I used to be part of. She saw I like Doctor Who and told me her Uncle Denis was in it years ago.
He was good at that, too.
Took me right out of one of the newer ‘Star Wars’ films when he appeared. Fully expected him to punch someone in the nads.
I had to speak to a real person on the phone a few years ago about a problem and they were irritatingly chipper. ‘I love helping people! WOO!’ ‘Awesome!’
Had a little rest from exercise due to a weird pain and plain feeling exhausted. Pain’s subsiding (G.P. thinks it’s simply a muscular issue) but still feel wrecked. It’s been a long summer without a break from carer’s responsibilities. Miss my jaunts with the dogs, need to start again soon.

Totally agree. I found it lazy, going through the motions, nonsense. The audience absolutely ate it up, though. Compare and contrast with OMD, Numan, etc; who give their all every gig.
I caught them live for the first time around 2017 or so. They’re not for me anymore, proper rock-gods whereas I’ll always be more of a synth-head. Even listening to their early live stuff, the response is like listening to a boy-band, or The Beatles. So much screaming.
It seems to be getting there with the latest update, though I haven’t had time to dive in fully yet.

I feel like it's hard to get across to my English pals that if the Taoiseach **made a point of insisting to the press** that they put Irish flags all over their house, and made sure to 'always' sit by one in their office, then they would immediately, and forever, be tainted as a massive weird freak.

The American pronouncement of ‘aluminium’ blows my English mind. Same with ‘Bernard’ and ‘squirrel’. Language is brilliant. Saying that in Britain ‘scone’ is pronounced differently in the north and south, among many words.
