251. Cade: the tortured crossing - direct sequel to the previous film, neil breen is a super spy augmented by aliens but he is helping a mental hospital and turn its patient to fight the system. Its daft as always not the most entertaining but the worst of his good/bad films
250. Queer - adaptation of the burrows story, this drama sees a drug addicted writer in latin America sleeping with guys become fixated on one guy and wants to sleep with him. Its the straight adaptation which is still bleak, great film and craig is great but not naked lunch odd

249. The naked gun (2025) - comedy legacy sequel. I was hesitant but knew casting Neeson was a great idea but i had some trepidation. The film is good, it honours the previous films by being dumb. Like the originals its very clever about being dumb. Great film

248. The cannonball run - comedy racer, lots of quirky characters join a coast to coast race and high jinx ensue. I enjoyed the jackie chan stunts, the meta Roger Moore being a jewish guy pretending to be Moore/bond. Its live action wacky races but i prefer death race not for me
Clear cut and die hard 3 is what comes to mind
247. Highlander - A film that if you stop and ask questions it crumbles but who cares. This film for me is all about to cool vibes, its the music and the visuals and its just cool. Immortal people fight it out until there can be only one. Sean Connery steals every scene
September 1998 Demo - This months demo disk is a big one. Tekken 3 is the one and only game on the disk and because of that itâs stylish and all black, they clearly wanted to show off. I remember at the time i was disappointed, while its great to play it i wanted other games too.
But on the other side, the bastard scene in pieces is pinnacle of cinema

246. Double down - Neil breens first film and his most pure and one of the best. As always Neil does everything in the film & plays the worlds best spy, he is so good he can cure a childâs brain cancer, other stuff happens. Itâs more abstract & arty than the follow ups. Amazing strange fun bad film

245. Slotherhouse - comedy horror, typical slasher film set in a sorority but the killer is a sloth who can use the internet among other things. Its dumb, it knows it is and enjoys its ridiculous setting but i dont think the writing really makes full use of the idea. Just decent

244. Flow - animated adventure about a black cat trying to survive a cataclysmic flood & the other animals it encounters. I cant articulate but i dont like the animation in some shots in others its fine. What makes the film timeless & easy to connect to is there is zero dialogue. Great

243. Harvest - anachronistic folk thriller as a rural Scottish village in an unspecified time struggles keep together when changes and strangers arrive. Looks great and there are some interesting things but this allegory for industrialisation & community didnât capture me at all
242. The last showgirl - drama about an aging idealistic vegas showgirl who is about to lose her job. It makes her look at her work and her relationships with friends and family, was it worth it? Everyone gives top performances, not a fan of the soft focus but i get it. Great

241. Nomads - A doctor comes across a crazed man who then dies, she is then cursed with visions of what led up to his death while she is drawn to a place. Thriller with a supernatural vibe, i hate the structure of the film with the flashbacks. The french accents are bad. Not a fan
My copy of symbiote Spiderman omnibus has arrived. Set during the iconic alien black suit era this is a new modern story as well as a story with Spiderman 2099. Be a cool one to read just hope itâs got the rage that the suit needs. #spiderman #marvelomnibus #comics #marvelcomics
240 monkey man - brutal action film. An Indian guy will take on any job to get the revenge he wants. It starts traditionally and gets a little trippy and political by the end, but a great film and its more impressive that its a first time director. Close to being Indian john wick

239. Y2K - nostalgia bait comedy horror about computers becoming aware and attacking and absorbing people and technology. It forces lots of references but not the one film that itâs linked to, the matrix. Itâs all a bit forced and very predictable. Painfully ok at most
publisher ghostlight was going to publish devil survivor 2 and then cancelled the release as they felt it wasnât enough interest. They then said if fans pay in advance & gets minimum it will get published. For those of us who did that we got our name in the credits, can you find me?
238. Twisted pair - after years of doing everything in a film there was only one thing more for neil breen to do in a film, he now plays twins in this film! He also has bought a a green screen as he now puts himself in stock videos and photos. Also in this film he can fly

237. Scum (1977 TV movie) - brutal drama about the inmates of a male young offenders institute. It crams lots into its hour and 10, itâs brutal and i can see why it was banned for years. Some elements are reduced but still powerful. So weaker performances from the kids, great.
236. The 4th man - dutch erotic thriller, a creepy writer gets caught up in a web of intrigue when he tries to sleep a womanâs boyfriend. Dream like & creepy Verhoeven directs and lead karabbe to the be the sleaziest ever. Great film, a mix of sunset boulevard & death in Venice
Its such a great film, the garden/ glove death is all kinds of silly
235. Sinners - 30âs set musical fused vampire action horror. 2 brothers & patrons come under siege on the opening night of the new bar by vampires. After a slow start establishing the characters the keeps running with a more stylish version of from dusk till dawn. Great film
234. Pass thru - as always neil breen writes, directs, produces, stars in another sci fi thriller. I hope he wrote the theme tune and sung the theme tune too. Itâs another story with an ecological message. Still spectacularly bad in an entertaining way, not his best but still fun
233. Devil fetus - gory hong kong horror. A horny slime demon torments, possesses and kills the members of a family. The film is low budget and promises so much, it wants to deliver but just Doesnât make it. Disappointing but itâs always worth a watch but not again soon.
232. The unbreakable wight of massive talent - meta comedy that sees Nicolas cage play Nic cage, an over exposed actor who is paid to visit a fan and has to take the hardest role ever. Its a daft fun film with lots of easter eggs for cage fans. Not the bees but so fun i smiled my face off

After all the heat we have had my mind cast back to this nuke powered sci-fi film. Picked up the blu of the day the earth caught fire from BFI as its got an additional interview on the disk, also look forward to the nuclear films that are included. Love when the BFI does that

229. Iam hereâŠ. Now - neil breen is an alien/demon but also Jesus and a terminator who dishes out kindness and supports recycling and green energy. But theres a story of woman going into prostitution. Its so bad its good but not enough breen to push it into masterpiece territory

Todayâs delivery is the @88films.bsky.social release of devil fetus an infamous cat 3 film. I have never seen it before but if itâs uttered in the same sentence as the boxers omen and black magic iam in! It looks a great set too but thats the weekends film sorted.
227. The good, the bad and the ugly - classic spaghetti western, 3 people know unique bits of information to a loot of gold and form uneasy alliances. The cinematography is flawless and all the buts are great but its over long and a little bloated. Its still a classic

224. Pride - based on real true events, this comedy drama about a group of 80s gays and lesbians who help a welsh mining town during the pit strike. Its great cast and the characters are memorable. It really feels like a ealing studios movie era of character driven comedy drama
223. A nightmare on elm street 3: dream warriors - while the first film is THE icon personally i prefer this film. Its got more iconic characters and leans more into the surreal and fantasy elements of dreaming. It mainly straddles the line of being OTT just right. Welcome to primetimeâŠ

222. A nightmare on elm street 2: Freddyâs revenge - Rushed horror sequel that isnât clear if its a possession film or a were-freddy film. I try to avoid the queer angle but itâs unavoidably camp and just an unintentionally funny with the ridiculous scenes.

221. Final destination: bloodlines - gore horror about a family cursed with death wanting to kill them. Its a silly OTT film, its maybe a little too knowing to the audience with its references and more but its in keeping with its series. Shame about the CGI but its modern films

220. The borderlands (2013) - UK Horror film thats part found footage. A group of paranormal investigators try to see if an event at a church is real. Unlike most found footage the film consistently builds the tension and creepy vibe rather than just jump scares. Decent
219. Resurrection - thriller about a police detective hunting a serial killer who using his victims body parts to build jesus. Shot in the 90s The film was trying too hard to be like finchers seven, there are hints in the story but its in the shooting style. Cheap but fun
tengai or sengoku blade as its known in japan is a side scrolling shmup with a story set in an almost fantasy steampunk Japan but we are not here for the story. The gameplay is solid work by psikyo and is for me on a par with gunbird. Both games are great but not super unique.

After owning them on dvd i decided to upgrade the heisei era godzilla films to bluray. They may get a release in the future but the main reason i got this set is the english dub thats included. Love or hate them I think for completion they should be included and recent release by criterion donât

Iam currently watching resurrection by highlander director Russell mulcahy. Itâs on tubi, i just shocked how bad the picture quality of the film is. Its got lots of grain and for a director that uses light and shaded as soon as there are dark colours its tough to watch

I love the persona games and i love music games, this endless night collection is prefect! It takes the the cool and funky soundtrack persona 3 and 5 have and turns them i to a rhythm games. The two games were released separately but this set put them together in a media book with character art.
