A debilitating stroke or other traumatic injury to a critical organ or system is far more expensive to taxpayers than a quick demise.
Bradley James Cooper (@bjamescooper.bsky.social) reply parent
For a purportedly smart guy, he fails to understand that a quicker, more efficient way of maintaining control is to take away the reasons for the black/brown mass migration. But foreign aid for those countries isn’t popular among his group. Instead he wants to get in a baby making race.

It’s always interesting to see individuals in the public sphere manage to make themselves into targets of mass societal ghoulishness. Vast numbers of people from various backgrounds, cultures and social strata who abandon mores of decency to throw gibes and queries about the subject’s hoped for

Who here has spent anytime thinking about the image and details of their 4 X great grandparents this year? We are purposely forgotten as a function of living.

…within two, three or four generations, we are forgotten. Perhaps squinted at in a yearbook or seen in the background of a moving image, followed by a shrug and mental departure by the viewer.

In relation to my previous posts a few minutes ago, I’m becoming more comfortable with the premise that we are not remembered after we pass. Exceptions being individuals of great significance due to fame or infamy. We quickly become footnotes to other people’s lives and usually…

As a young man, I’d been a reporter after finishing journalism school. I had about 15 months of weekly community tabloid newspapers I worked for. My name was on the masthead but most of my work was uncredited. I skimmed through them for half an hour, felt the feels and pitched the lot.

Mementoes of travel, life events or other supposedly important things were a little tougher; more categories of potential value. Does it mean anything to me anymore? Could it mean anything to someone else? Is it useful?
Bradley James Cooper (@bjamescooper.bsky.social) reply parent
Some of it was easy: back in the day, places that developed film would talk you into getting doubles or triples of your prints. If you didn’t give them to the interested parties immediately they tended to hang around like baseball card duplicates that you imagined ‘might’ be valuable some day.
