What a truly disgusting week for American journalism.
Eternally optimistic that love and joy will overcome hate and fear. Just might take a bit longer than I had hoped.

If I don't see multiple ~media reporters~ columns about the extraordinarily irresponsible Wall Street Journal report from yesterday morning — and their extensive promotion of that inflammatory report — you all should just pack up and go home.

The birthday book is clear: there was a cabal of rich, powerful people (mostly men) whose fondest memories with Jeffrey Epstein involved trafficking young girls for sex—trading them like baseball cards—and one of them is the current American president. You’re cool with this or you’re not. That’s it.

Completely agree. It’s absolutely outrageous that nobody stood up for @yamiche.bsky.social — media spinelessness has played a major role in how we got here.

The new ICE song by Jesse Welles nails it. ICE isn’t recruiting heroes, it’s recruiting the bitter, the rejected, the ones desperate for a badge to cover their failures. Losers with power become the most dangerous kind. (c/o Caroline Codsi)

Newsom: We can’t do things the way we’ve done. Let’s disabuse ourselves of that. The Democratic Party needs to assert itself. We need to be strong again. Strength matters. People want conviction. They want character. They want a sense of intention and purpose…

I don't think it can be understated how DT has used intimidation to destroy our country and its systems of checks and balances, our institutions, and basic freedoms. He has weaponized social media & armed his propagandized cult members with the power of the state. He instigates death threats.

Democrats spend far too much time thinking and talking about how to attack Trump & his party. No one attack ever works in politics. What does work is a commitment to sustained aggression. Attack, attack, attack. How Newsom is attacking is much less important than the fact that he is attacking.

The upward redistribution of wealth over the past 50 years has shifted $80 trillion from the bottom 90% of Americans to the top 1%. That’s $80 trillion that would have gone into the paychecks of the working class. The greatest trick of all is trickle-down economics.
