This should be getting far more attention from the media, and it should be investigated as a hate crime. A 14-year-old Black teen was targeted, beaten, and dehumanized with racial slurs by white teens while people stood around cheering. 1/4

Look. We’re not in a good place. But what inspires me is that tens of millions of Americans will NEVER be ok with this. Will NEVER rationalize that this is OK. Will NEVER stop fighting for what they know is right. No matter how bad things get, there is a massive number of us who will NEVER give up.

I think Newsom was trying to address those nuances that are hard to talk about because trans rights are so important, but also, humans who have a testosterone advantage cannot compete with humans who do not in certain sports (like wrestling) but may be perfect fair in others. There is nuance
There is so much nuance in gender fluidity. So many layers. I wonder, why is important to accept those nuances in each of us (and it is), but maybe not as important to accept the nuances in how the hormones we’ve grown up with affect our ability in sports, especially at the adult level?
