Like the reasons I wasn’t into it is 1) I have shit I planned to do today 2) it was a market, so the temptation to spend $ I don’t have and 3) idk it felt like they just wanted to do it and needed someone with a car, not that they wanted to spend time with ME. And I hate feeling that way
Because the person who had invited them pulled out and they needed a ride. As soon as I made it clear I wasn’t super interested, they stopped responding to my texts about making further plans. Just like they did last time I was talking to them
Like, someone who I thought of as a friend, then became somewhat clear (to me, idk their perspective) that we were more just gym buddies (they wouldn’t really share much of what was going on in their life?) and now we don’t even gym- today they reached out about an event that started that same hour-
Is it that I always should have done better at making plans with them and they’re like, sick of it/rightfully choosing to hold onto their energy? I’m like.. a very introverted person and I try to communicate but it’s sometimes a hard line to walk
I have always had such a hard time reaching out first, being the plan-maker, so it’s really hard for me now not to wonder like, if someone stops reaching out and making time for me, is it that they’re not prioritizing me, and I’m right to feel slighted? Or -
