Like WHAT, Senator? Dems love to say "we must do something" but never say what that is. We have a mass shooting problem in this country BECAUSE OF REPUBLICANS - the same people you spend the day calling "my friends across the aisle." How about POINTING FINGERS AND BLAMING?

refamiliarizing myself with some Supreme Court cases and I feel like if there's one thing I want incoming law students to know (hell, one thing I want lawyers to know too), it's that constitutional doctrine is just some shit some assholes made up, dassit

Nah, it’s just another day in America. A failed state has to be one that watches its kids get slaughtered on the regular and does absolutely nothing.

Jeffries: “Demonstrations are a distraction from the hard work we are doing to compromise with our friends across the aisle.”

America is a country that watched an entire classroom of kids get slaughtered and didn’t pass a single new gun law (multiple times). AI could encourage an entire town to commit suicide and we wouldn’t try to regulate it.

And yet no Dems are pushing back. Best they can do is “we all want to lower crime in DC but Trump isn’t doing it right.” They always accept the underlying bad-faith premise.

Was the research firm also being paid by the GOP to give Dems this idiot advice?

The fact that not a single Dem is talking “elect us and we will punish these assholes” always fills me with sadness

America, where guns have more rights than people.

In contrast, every Dem ever from Clinton to Jeffries speaks only in workshopped, focus-grouped consultant speak that always comes across as fake and insincere. Dems muzzled Walz and Harris because they actually did sound authentic.

Yeah, because Dems just write off whole states and also don’t try to convince anyone.

Right. And that’s when you say “okay, no support from the Dem party, we are running an actual Dem.” This whole “only Manchin can win WV” was nonsense put forward by Manchin.

And in the face of all this, Hakeem Jeffries is saying it’s all a distraction and Dems will respond sometime in the future.

No one in England or Canada ever heard of the backbench MP from Flopbottom-Worcester hchestershiresly or Poutin-la-Maudite single-handedly derailing their party’s agenda, but Manchin, with fewer constituents that a random LA suburb you’ve never heard of always managed it.
