I think as far as people in power goes, it's a mix. There are those stupid enough to think that it's a better economic model. I think the question is not very informative without the context of "what specific political views are we talking about?" Basically the "I'm being cancelled for my conservative beliefs" tweet. Sure, without that this gets at what might be happening, but says nothing about why or if it's bad

Man, "political views" is a hell of an equivocation. To MAGA, it means "has blue hair and says woke stuff like 'black lives matter'." To us it means "likes cracking jokes about putting you and your friends in a concentration camp, and also voted for that."

Yeah, I think an important asymmetry here is that modern Republican politics cannot be sold to voters without shamelessly lying to them, and that's just not true for the Democrats. If anything, the Democratic leadership too often mimics the conservative approach (e.g. blatantly lying about Mamdani)
I'm not surprised that through optimization over a ton of data you could account for things not included in the physics models, but any model is always limited by what data you can feed it

I've used autotune in recordings, if you start with a decent recording you can fix almost all intonation problems without it being detectable to anyone who isn't pretty experienced with the tech. When I can hear it in songs I'm half paying attention to it grates on my ears
Like, that Disturbed cover of "Sound of Silence" is awful for many reasons, but the unless the raw recording was total dogshit they absolutely could have used autotune in a way that wasn't noticeable at all, but it's distractingly obvious
I still hate ubiquitous heavy autotune. I'm not against autotune in principle, it's another tool to be used for practical or artistic reasons. But when I can hear it in performances where it doesn't add anything, I hate it. And that happens a lot.

Could blue voters organize to demand rural bailouts? In theory, but that looks like an insurmountable hill for the near future. I don't know what bearing this has on what we should do, but it seems to me more like a feature of our bleak reality than a strategy or moral position
I think in a very mechanistic way "State reps in largely blue states are going to prioritize spending limited state funds on blue areas" is a likely outcome whether we want it or not, and it does represent a sort of natural consequence whether it's morally right or not
