I got tix but couldn’t go last minute and resold them. Their Hartford show was a blast. Met people from NY to BOS and everywhere in between. Only time at Mohegan was an early Rampage taping. It was fun but a pretty low turnout. I imagine it’d be full for a Dynamite.

Mohegan is a great size for a Dynamite, and more in line with the smaller venues of late, but the last time they were in Hartford it was packed. Bridgeport or the Springfield MGM would work too. Just don’t make me go to Newark! 🤣

Hurt Syndicate once MJF betrayed them was most logical. Paragon made some sense, but only if they went full heel. Could have teamed up with FTR & had Stoke as his mouthpiece. DCF is just loaded & guys are already kinda lost in the shuffle. And that’s not including Cage & Davis who’re out.
Only 1 title change at #ForbiddenDoor, but feels like an important one for #AEW. #Brodido can reinvigorate the tag division following an excellent tournament. Can’t wait to see them defending every week vs. all comers. And they’re not so overpowered as Hurt Syndicate to never think they’ll lose.
Some SPOILERY thoughts on #ForbiddenDoor (just catching up)… Brodido!!!! Fuck yeah! Wardlow joining DCF? Meh. Let’s see where they go, but that stable’s stuffed & probs the least interesting direction they could’ve taken him. Garcia didn’t turn? Wtf?!? Guess there’s always Wednesday.

For sure. Been saying this for a while. The “4 Pillars” MJF came up with were just the original youngsters, but no one other than MJF was ever main event bound. Darby is awesome but he’s too small to ever be taken seriously. These 4 could trade off the belt for the next 5 years no problem.
I’ve really enjoyed the more serious takes on both, especially SG.
I wasn’t as hyped about Ab Supes. It’s good, but too much Krypton early on. Absolute Martian Manhunter is trippy and weird and really good. Honestly the only one I haven’t liked so far is Absolute Flash.

Even w/ several faces out or likely needing time off, #AEW has plenty of others they can lean on—Cope, now Christian, Darby, Joe, Brody, Bandido, Briscoe, and Hobbs to name a few (prob Takeshita soon too). But most importantly, they have a face champ right now who can carry the main event scene.

They had a promo for Hook a week or 2 ago so he should be back soon. He had some sort of injury, they replaced him with Hobbs, and then he made that quick appearance. People thought it was a concussion but I remember seeing a report later that it wasn’t and was due to something else.

I thought the same. He’s def bulked up over the yrs. It’s always interesting to see how big or small guys look in different promotions. I remember Roderick Strong looking huge in TNA back in the day, then he was small compared to the avg Fed recruit, and average sized in #AEW.
I think people forget how dominant KAT was before the hand/thumb injury. He was arguably their best player, even over JB, & legitimately in early MVP rankings through the first 30ish games. With that fully healed & an offense that actually schemes w/ him in mind, he’s gonna kill it this season.

This was always my concern with drafting him. Undeniable talent, but small receivers like him seem to have short seasons and shorter careers—at least as impact players.
