Yes Great Lakes would not be convenient for ICE or the National Guard. 40+ miles from Chicago through heavy traffic will make for much less efficient operations. Hour to an hour and a half drive into Downtown Chicago.

In my opinion it would not be good it would actually be a disaster especially for those of us that live in Chicago. Not a serious or informed thought.

Pritzker would NEVER activate the Illinois National Guard to repel the National Guard from red states because ultimately the president is the commander in chief and that would be an act of rebellion.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
The president countermands the order to activate and sends them home.

I agree it is hard to force blue on blue conflict. But an unlawful act is not that hard to observe and record. As many unlawful acts as possible should be documented and when "the pendulum swings back" the evidence should be presented to all. It should be made clear

A man with more pro cop values is the man who pardoned 1500 insurrectionists who attacked and beat cops. The investigation of the 1500 was conducted by the FBI.

Hard to understand what exactly you are saying but if you think that there was malice aforethought (whatever that is) just wait to see what injustice the Trump administration FBI will bring. I don't know what you are talking about "your own family pretending". Good luck to you.

Administration is corrupting the FBI. It is firing Agents who attempt to maintain objectivity. If continued it will destroy the FBI. A non political investigative agency is crucial to our democracy. The FBI was a unique American Treasure because it tried to uphold that standard.

Republicans have no problem electing Donald Trump who was, for decades, the best friend of the world’s most prolific child sexual abuser. Thank you for keeping this issue in the headlines.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
Loomer should march right over to Kash Patel's office and ask him why the FBI was jamming phone reception and monitoring the GOP's meeting. Of course the answer is obvious that the FBI did not do this. She is just trying to inflame and get attention for herself.

Hoover thought that the role of the FBI was to investigate violations of federal laws not individual violent crimes. It is not demeaning to investigate ordinary crime it is just that the role of the FBI is different. The FBI was meant to be an investigative agency not a national police force.

Now I will state what is was obvious to me. DOJ through Pam Bondi realized that Trump's name was in the file and does not want to release the files because it does not reflect well on him. Whether there is incriminating evidence on him or anyone else I do not know. Release the files.

Also unless evidence is directly related to the individuals under investigation the evidence obtained wouldn't necessarily be presented to the grand jury. So Mullins doesn't know what he is talking about. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
Not all evidence is obtained through the grand jury. Interviews, contributed evidence, transcripts of recorded conversations, and items collected from search warrants are examples of evidence collected outside of the grand jury.

Now DOJ and Trump know what her testimony will be if subpoenaed. She is locked in to what she told DOJ. Trumps lawyers/ DOJ will evaluate the extent to which Maxwell's testimony will negatively affect Trump which will inform them how to proceed.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
Maxwell's attorney would not have allowed her to speak to DOJ without a limited immunity proffer agreement. The government can't use her testimony/confession against her unless she is lying. They can still investigate her for any crimes committed just can't use her confession.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
Federal Courthouse.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
So what we know is that DOJ met with Maxwell for 6 hours. She answered all their questions. How the administration, political supporters, and MAGA influencers talk about Maxwell in the next few days will give the public a good idea as to how she answered their questions.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
In my opinion, which is worth nothing, the best that Trump can get from Maxwell is just that she can't remember. She will want something in exchange for that and this may be the best Trump can get. Better than truthful testimony which will destroy his presidency and severely damage MAGA.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
You are right it probably won't help but it might be the best he can get. If Todd Blanche doesn't agree to allow Maxwell to lie about her bad memory than the deal is off and she will testify in front of congress without any sort of agreement. What will her testimony be then?
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
A presidential pardon is forgiveness for a crime. A commutation is a reduction in sentence because the sentence is too harsh. Trump will probably commute the sentence in exchange for favorable testimony. The commutation will be slightly better received than a pardon.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
She will just say she doesn't recall. Difficult to disprove.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
Her false testimony will likely help Trump.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
It is likely that Maxwell will downplay any Trump involvement in return for a pardon. If she minimizes Trumps involvement she will be out of prison. If she tells the truth she will remain incarcerated for the next 14 years. She is a convicted felon, sex offender and will say anything to get out jail
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
Maxwell wants to get out of her 20 year prison sentence. I predict a presidential pardon in return for her not incriminating Trump. Bondi is there to protect Trump. Maxwell may have to testify as a result of the pardon but she will testify that she doesn't recall when it comes to Trump.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
The article said records so I guess that could mean documents. So agents reviewed 7 to 14 documents per day.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
1000 agents working 24 hour shifts for two weeks to review 100000 pages. I did the math and this works out to only 7-14 pages per agent per 24 hours of work. Maybe 2 hours per page. Some level of exaggeration. Could have just done a word, name, or phrase search and identify the references to Trump.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
But if she was still employed at SDNY she likely could not legally produce notes of the case. If she were to provide information to the public she is smart enough to make sure it can be corroborated which would make it difficult to claim she is an irrational malcontent providing false information.

sees the opportunity to testify in front of congress as a potential get out of jail card. If she exonerates Trump she will probably receive a pardon after a year or so and will be released. I would proceed with caution with this criminal.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
Based on her 20 year sentence Maxwell has at least 10 more years to serve. In the federal system she has to serve at least 17 years of her sentence. If she testifies against Trump she will go right back to prison to serve out her sentence. To me it seems most likely that Maxwell

Stating that there isn't a "client list" and therefore claiming that nothing more should be done is totally misleading. Demand that the complete investigative file be released, except for that part which identifies the victims.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
There is a difference between the "client list" and the investigative file. There may not be an actual list of clients but there is most certainly investigative files containing all the documents and items obtained during the course of the investigation of Epstein.

Yes I demand accountability, including the arrest of Trump. Do you stand with my demand for accountability?
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
If MAGA influencers do not lay off the Epstein issue and if somehow the Epstein files are released it will mean the end of Trump's presidency, the end of MAGA as we know it, and the end of the MAGA influencer's fake conspiracy industry. They would be destroying themselves.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
They have no choice but to make excuses. If all the Epstein files are released Trump will have to resign and MAGA will disintegrate.

Every item in every box would have been categorized and reviewed. Every thumbnail, computer, photograph, would have been analyzed and results documented. Every interview would have been documented. All contained in FBI files. A mountain of evidence and information exists.
bumphrey.bsky.social (@bumphrey.bsky.social) reply parent
The FBI investigated Epstein and there would certainly be a substantial case file. Also items and documents taken from the search warrant would have been, at one point, in the possession of the FBI. All this info would have been provided to Bondi and at one point sitting on her desk.

This is an illegal detention/arrest. The officers do not have a reasonable articulable suspicion that a crime has been committed. In fact they have direct evidence that contradicts. These officers must follow the law, they are committing felonies and will at some point be held accountable.
