Desperately wanting any judge to impose some sort of penalties on the DOJ lawyers arguing these cases. Contempt, jailing. Is that even possible? If not, what on earth is there that could compel them to follow judges’ orders?? Do they all need to be debarred?

Individual cities and states can mount all the marketing campaigns they want to try and get Canadians to start visiting the U.S. again, but none of it has the power of any news story about some innocent tourist being detained at the border. I won’t visit the U.S. again so long as ICE exists.

This would give institutions a reason to work together instead of capitulating individually and giving in to Trump’s threats. They’re telling universities and corporations etc to push back and oppose these illegal moves and call them out as such because it literally sets a precedent.

Historically yes, but given that every GOP Rep and Senator is now clearly a rubber stamp for MAGA “policies”, it’ll probably be more difficult than usual for whoever the GOP candidate is. I doubt that the successful candidate will run on a campaign to undo Trump’s worst decisions.

I wish I could understand why the rest of the Democrats in the House continue to support him as leader. Do they honestly think he’s providing sufficient leadership during the country’s greatest internal threat since the civil war?

The entire Democrat House caucus is to blame for Jeffries’ shit messaging. If they want to show they’re serious about facing the MAGA threat to immigrants, women, the economy, etc, they could remove him as their leader. But they support this distraction-based focus group BS.
