8-month-old Anderson Garcia Cabrera Jr. was senselessly killed by a stray bullet at a festival in Utah on Father’s Day. Police say the shooting—which also left two other people dead—stemmed from an argument. Gun violence is the leading killer of children in America. We don’t have to live like this.

The Tall Ships organization around the world is wonderful. They act as training vessels and goodwill tours. Chicago would have a Tall Ships event every five years and you could visit 20 ships at Navy Pier and maybe be lucky enough to tour one.

The Trump Admin. just made machine guns legal again by permitting the sale of devices that turn AR-15s into fully automatic weapons. Forced-reset triggers increase a weapon’s rate of fire to mimic fully automatic guns—allowing a shooter to fire an entire magazine’s worth of ammunition in seconds.
