Before Covid I did a tour of the places he spent time in on the Outer Cape. Aside from his wife I think he lived a very solitary life.

New knees are wonderful! My recovery was at least relatively easy. I was planning on working on some book illustrations while I couldn’t go to the studio. Nothing. I blamed it on the pain meds but even after I quit those I still had focusing issues. Weird how that works.
I had a knee replacement last August and it was the start of a year of fighting with a dry spell. People say when things are bad artists are inspired. November broke me. I am finally inspired again. This is a great painting…keep it up!!
