Its interesting when you think about prefabrication and how we think it's relatively new. Many buildings in say New York in the late 1800's - 1900's were prefabricated in terracotta and in some cases cast iron.

Yes its not as good as It used to be. I think it's sad that a building that was clearly laboured on is dismissed. I have a magazine somewhere 'Building' I believe that had a special edition on Canary Wharf when it was built. It was quite spectacular with a large atrium bespoke lanterns and details.

When designing something do you visualise how it will look like in your head or just assume that it will be an amalgamation of inspiration? Personally I think it's both with a lot of testing and redesign. But generally I have a vision and I work on that.
