The moves the Cubs made are solid in a vacuum. Not upset about those. But not getting a legit starting pitcher…that really hurts. Even getting Taillon/Assad back, those are mid-lower rotation guys. Really wanted a 1-2 type. I wanted to be positive, but it’s disappointing

Mike Soroka isn't the primary Cubs move, but it's an additional arm. xERA, strikeout rate, and walk rate are pretty good. This is one of those moves that doesn't look fancy, but contenders get these types of arms to shore up the staff.

Cubs got their shit kicked in Friday. They respond with dominating behind Matthew Boyd and Shota Imanaga. 15 IP and 1 run between them. In a hitter-friendly park against an elite lineup. Great stuff.

This road trip was very frustrating for the Cubs, but honestly 4-5 really isn’t awful all things considering. Has some rough moments, also some things just didn’t fall their way. Just could kinda feel this trip was going to bring some pains.
