Great part of being self employed is taking the day off whenever I want! Family took ebikes to the beach in Palavas-les-Flots. Great ride, great beach. Love that the path follows the Lez river the whole way. Digging the protected bike path through town in Montpellier.

Had a serious "whoa I live in France" moment today. Took a floral-emblazened tram 8 minutes to the most amazing farmer's market under an 18th century aqueduct. Musicians playing jazz and Latin music. Kids loving samples of the sweetest figs and plums into their faces. Felt like a dream.

My new car: a Yuba FastRack cargo bike! Got the family edition with "monkey bars" and padded seats for the kiddos. Goodbye to cars, hopefully forever! Best part: the FastRack stores upright! Fits right in our apartment's storage locker.

Yeah La Vaquita is pretty good. Probably the best in Durham. I wouldn't call it *great* though. And the wait was always ridiculous. Everywhere I lived in California (10+ places) had better Mexican within walking distance. I'm being that annoying California guy right now lol. Apologies.

I really dislike Microsoft products but it's hard to deny that they're an exceptional value for the money. The customer service is virtually non-existent. Had a simple PowerBI config question a few months ago that they simply could not answer for me. It was unreal.
We passed zoning reform 2 years ago in Durham, NC after a very tough, very long public campaign. This point is something the NIMBYs just could not accept. They'd complain about all the new million dollar homes but fight every effort to allow more, less expensive homes.
We all just accept how terrible the DMV is. I want some outrage.
