The first Shiren the Wanderer game is actually the second Mystery Dungeon game, made by Chunsoft because they wanted a game free from licensing issues and established characters and worlds. It didn't release in North America until 2008, 13 years after its original date, and hasn't been seen since.

I mean the CGI render boxart of the Super Famicom original isn’t exactly a looker either haha But the game itself is really beautiful 16bit pixelart, so it’s fine 😅 It’s really good despite being such an early entry, I really recommend it!

I‘ve absolutely loved the Final Fantasy MTG set during its prerelease event, so I‘ve decided to build a set cube to play Draft and Sealed in the future without buying booster packs. Thrilled to finally have it done!

If you enjoyed this one, I really recommend to try Rival Megagun. It lacks the cuteness of TSP, but feels less like a puzzle game, in a very good way.

Me too, but this is the third time I had to do this transfer already. It’s definitely not safe to ship them in bubble mailers without additional stabilization. Some cardboard folded around the cartridge within the envelope is usually enough though.
(I transfered the sticker from the broken one to a donor shell in good condition. Do not try this without lots of practice with removing stickers sans damaging them, it’s not easy!)

Highly recommend it, it’s of 1st party game quality. I recommend to at least check out the chapter zero ROM, which is a prequel story that only takes about 30-45 minutes to beat.

My attempt to restore the artwork of #Contra Spirits aka Contra III: The Alien Wars by Hideaki Kodama used on the cover of the #SuperFamicom release. Used different sources with more detail, applying some clean/retouch without the need for upscaling.
