I promise you there are plenty of people completely unaffiliated with fossil fuels who would gladly stop a green infrastructure project for absolutely insane and spurious reasons.

This crime at Social Security might amount to the biggest data theft in human history. Committed by a government against its own citizens. I donโ€™t think anyone has begun to grasp the sheer scale of corruption and institutional destruction that has occurred in the last few months. Era-defining.

From: Charles Borges, Chief Data Officer, Social Security Administration To: Frank Bisignano, Commissioner, Social Security Administration Subj: Forced Resignation from Social Security Administration I am regretfully involuntarily leaving my position at the Social Security Administration (SSA). This involuntary resignation is the result of SSA's actions against me, which make my duties impossible to perform legally and ethically, have caused me serious attendant mental, physical, and emotional distress, and constitute a constructive discharge. After reporting internally to management and externally to regulators serious data security and integrity concerns impacting our citizens' most sensitive personal data, I have suffered exclusion, isolation, internal strife, and a culture of fear, creating a hostile work environment and making work conditions intolerable. I have served this Country for almost my entire adult life, first as an Active-Duty Naval Officer for over 22 years, and now as a civil servant. I was deployed during 9/11, decorated for valor in combat during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and graduated from US Naval Test Pilot School. As a civil servant, I have served as a Presidential Innovation Fellow, in the Centers for Disease Control during COVID, within OMB on the Federal CIO Data Team, and now serve as the SSA Chief Data Officer (CDO). I have served in each of these roles with honor and integrity. As the SSA CDO, I am responsible for providing oversight and Governance to ensure the safety, integrity, and security of the public's data at SSA. My position requires full visibility into data access and exchange across all SSA systems and environments. My duties include ensuring compliance with federal data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements, as well as ensuring data is handled in accordance with internal and external policies, standards, and industry best practices. SSA data is among the most sensitive data in the Federal Government, and the CDO musโ€ฆ

Ok? My entire point was that there are levers that can be pulled to instigate the AG offices to action - and often are required so that the AG can use as filed cases to initiate suit. Hate the Dems. I don't care. People worked to get these avenues of action in place and people need to use them.

"Democrats" have also repeatedly stood up for us and passed things like shield laws, codified rights in state constitutions, etc. So, while levers exist, people should pull them as one possible avenue of action among many.

If you are trans and in a blue state where a hospital has complied with the EOs, you should file a complaint with your AG office to instigate a cause of action - especially if you've been harmed by losing access to care! AG websites will have phone numbers and links that walk you through filing.

How many more unhinged cranks that are ignorant at best and malicious at worst do we need to take seriously before we actually start leading on the issue and reframing it? Maybe another focus group? Just one more poll man, consultants gotta eat too.

On one hand, yes, but also on the other its just a continuation of the eradication campaign against migrants. The new, hot take (of like the last 5ish years) in the GOP is that the constitution only applies to people deemed to be lawful residents. That's why migrants "don't count for anything"

It's like to be a national Democratic operative you have to get surgically implanted with a "both sides have valid points" brain chip. People are clearly persuaded by just being really confident - researched be damned - so grow a set of balls and lead for once @petebuttigieg.bsky.social

We waste more god damn time in the country relitigating EVERYTHING because we have to treat every single crank on the god damn face of the earth with "a concern" as a novel concept that needs to be personally addressed. Just stop! Lead in the issue for a change and stop accepting the framing as is!

I swear to god the idea that everyone has valid and serious concerns is the thing that has undone America. Pick your subject - housing, transit, climate - you factually cannot take everyone seriously because a lot of people are ignorant at best and malicious at worst.

I can't believe we have so much obesity these days. I'm going to ask my city council to add it as an agenda item after we're done opposing the complete streets initiative. Fuckin bikers constantly getting in the way of my F250.

If you're going to make a complaint about the service you're getting from a business, please, for the love of god, do not have ChatGPT write your complaint. You're just going to be angrier because ChatGPT doesn't know anything, and your complaint isn't going to make sense.

The food quality at airport restaurants is also wildly hit or miss. I know what I'm getting in a lounge, and if the lounge sucks, my membership gives me bar discounts. Really we should demand better of airports lol

Trump has mush for brains at this point and has no idea what's going on with his own administration. Russell Voght is the one running things along with Stephen Miller.
