I think we discount money as the goal. Arresting immigrants and everyone else is a huge profit for private corporations in the prison industrial complex. Whites support prisons because in rural areas police/prison systems are some of the highest paying jobs for the lowest qualifications.
Why would we want to take computers out of the hands of students? We put kids on corporate computers that gather data for the corporation but don’t share results with teachers and then take fun apps away from kids. Schools are turning into prisons

Everywhere worldwide when women have access to birth control, birth rates decline. As very few counties have true equity we can’t know if birth rates would increase or decrease if women had $ for all the unpaid work we do. But in the absence of equity, women are making the best choices available.
So they’re gonna take the military, Walmart, and Dollar General workers getting Medicaid because their wages are so low and bus them to the fields in CA where agribusiness doesn’t provide healthcare and then they still need Medicaid?
