It’s a really simple fact that kids can remember til their older so they don’t look like total internet regards: 1. There is a reason (at least until recently) that the 2nd most spoken language in the world is French. 2. And it’s not because they’re all from France…what a dumb bitch.

Once they have the ability to frame precedent w/ the legal cases…if eventually the courts try to upend—say, mass deportation of citizens or whatever—the regime will point at the individual rulings that make up the future cumulative impact in an effort to discredit the courts.
Court win after win (SCOTUS) further ensures their long-term goal of having legal precedent for the means to accomplish whatever their ends are.
