So I tried the Sonic Crossworlds beta and LOVED it. If I had just one complaint that I am begging for them to change, is to please allow us to fail tricks. The way they are implemented now feels so mindless and unengaging
I really dislike the idea of indies and AA games being inherently lesser than big budget games. A game's value does not stem from how many people worked on it but how it made you feel.

Dad and I don't see eye to eye on hardly anything but it was really cool to bond with him today over Walkabout mini golf. If you have a quest 2 or 3, this really is the killer app. You can put put in space, under the sea, in Tokyo, in Draculas castle and so much more.

AI is not embedded in society, nor is it unavoidable. I have never *once* used generative AI. No matter how many times you say that, you're wrong. Generating a picture using an LLM isn't survival. It's destruction of the planet for convinence. Lines must be drawn somewhere.

Trying to shove seasonal cutscenes in it felt like the wrong idea too. You aren't going to appeal to both the traditional big budget single player crowd and the GaaS multi-player crowd at the same time. Trying to appeal to everyone made it appealing to no one imo.

Felt to me like it failed because they first advertised it like a single player game, and then pulled the rug out from those people. And the multiplayer crowd dipped as soon as it looked like a single player GotG knockoff.
