Trying to shove seasonal cutscenes in it felt like the wrong idea too. You aren't going to appeal to both the traditional big budget single player crowd and the GaaS multi-player crowd at the same time. Trying to appeal to everyone made it appealing to no one imo.

GaaS multiplayer games have been trying to figure out how to tell a “story” for years and years and it’s never worked. Maybe a very small niche audience actually cares about or understands the stories they’re trying to tell.

Exactly! I feel like those two crowds also want vastly different things. I'm in the single player crowd, and enjoy experiences that end. There are people that love going back to their comfort games and want the exact opposite. A game can't and shouldn't be both.

I play a lot of multiplayer and single player, but for games like that, or COD or Halo, when I’m on the multiplayer side I do not care at all about the cut scenes. They’re honestly annoying😂 I skip them to get back to the game.
