A week after the scare we had with Dolce, he seems to be on the mend. Hes been eating his new Rx food like a champ, drinking, playing, and sleeping like the crazy orange boy that he is. We really can't say he's out of the woods for another couple of weeks, but we feel good about it. #caturday

15) They vet told us that they would run more blood, and take some xrays. See how he was progressing in another 8 hours since he was starting to flow urine through the catheter. I didn't sleep at all. Got another call at 8am Saturday morning, this time, good news! #catsofbluesky
14) They called us 6 hours later, about 430 in the morning, and updated us on his status. Cath was put in, his liver and kidney values were through the roof, blood in his urine, and had full stones, not just crystals in his bladder. If we had waited two more hours, he would have died. #catsofbluesky
13) they started working on him immediately. They told us he'll need to stay through Sunday at a minimum and to go home. There wasn't anything for us to do there, so we got in the car, balled our eyes out, and left for home. #catsofbluesky
12) I packed him up into his crate, my wife and I headed up to the local 24 hour pet ER 32 miles away. We handed Dolce over to the tech, and she came back less than 2 minutes later telling us that he was indeed obstructed, and probably wasfor more than a day based on how he was acting #catsofbluesky
11) He barely drank anything water, and he was laying in his bed next to my chair with his eyes starting to glass over, this wasn't right by any means. I texted my best friend who's a vet tech in Denver, told him in detail what I saw, and he only replied with two word, "VET NOW!!!" #catsofbluesky
10) They doubled down on the constipation diagnosis, had me make sure he got the probiotics and to keep an eye on him. If he was the same or worse the next morning, to bring him in. I tried to feed him, and he refused. Hes usually a vacuum cleaner with food. #catsofbluesky
9) I thought he was nauseous, maybe a little exhausted from the whole ordeal. But he just kept getting worse. His stomach started wrenching in pain every few moments. Thats when I called the vet back to let them know what I was seeing, but it was close to closing time. #catsofbluesky
8) I left to run some errands while my daughter kept an eye on Dolce. This is when things took a nosedive. About 30 minutes after I left, Dolce threw up and started to act lethargic. I came home right as my daughter was holding tissue paper full of vomit. #catsofbluesky
7) They call me back a few hours later, tell me that they didn't notice anything that would suggest anything problematic. Prescribed some probiotics with fiber, and sent us on our way. I thought we'd dodged a bullet. If all he needed was a little help to push things along, cool! #catsofbluesky
6) dogs visit was uneventful, dropped off Dolce and told them what I had seen in the video and before coming in. He wasn't acting a whole lot different at this time, maybe just a little tired, but I thought that was because he was up all night #catsofbluesky
5) I called the vet as soon as they opened, I had to take one of my dogs in for a check anyway, so I set up a drop off for Dolce too. I felt like I may have been overreacting, but something just felt off. #catsofbluesky
4) when I went to go let them cats out of their room, Dolce just sat there, usually he's the first out the door. He meandered over to another box, I followed along, and he tried to go again, and again, nothing. #catsofbluesky
3) Checked out the activity clips and saw Dolce had been going to the litter box 7-8 times over the night, and trying to go for up to 3 minutes at a time with nothing to show for the effort. #catsofbluesky
2) We bought a pet cam just last week, and me being the ADHD nutcase that I am, I love checking on what the cats were doing all night first thing when I wake up. Notice that there was a lot more activity than nights prior. #catsofbluesky
