14) They called us 6 hours later, about 430 in the morning, and updated us on his status. Cath was put in, his liver and kidney values were through the roof, blood in his urine, and had full stones, not just crystals in his bladder. If we had waited two more hours, he would have died. #catsofbluesky

15) They vet told us that they would run more blood, and take some xrays. See how he was progressing in another 8 hours since he was starting to flow urine through the catheter. I didn't sleep at all. Got another call at 8am Saturday morning, this time, good news! #catsofbluesky

16) his bloodwork already started to show incredible improvement. There was still a ways to go, but he was on the mend. The techs took pictures for us. There was a lot of bad news being delivered that morning, but Dolce quickly became the highlight of the weekend. #catsofbluesky

17) we called several more time throughout Saturday and Sunday. He just kept improving hour by hour. He was still showing a little more blood in his urine than they would like to see, so a Sunday evening pick up was pushed to this morning #catsofbluesky

18) I woke up at 4am and called again, receiving news that he was doing great. His blood values had almost gone back to normal on everything, but he was showing some free fluid around his kidneys and abdomen. But the major issue was behind him. #catsofbluesky

19) we got to the vets office at about 630 this morning. I don't think I've ever held an animal so tighly before. The level of relief I felt that I was actually holding my cat again was something I never thought I'd experience. I had always been a dog person. #catsofbluesky

20) We brought him home, and almost immediately he went right back into being the same old Dolce,running around the house, playing with toy, almost as if nothing happened. His sister thinks he smells weird and batted at him a few times, but he's doing well otherwise. #catsofbluesky

21) Hes going to be on a special diet for the rest of his life, and we're giving him filtered water from now on because our water here is insanely hard, probably what contributed to his issue to begin with.
