The Dems continue to fumble this. They’d be better off just saying- so there are no super secret files? there is no huge conspiracy? Does that mean there is no deep state? Does that mean he’s been lying all long? Is MAGA lie? Instead of undermining the movement they’re going for character.
If someone gets an SBT and I expect them to pass, and no one can explain why, I often repeat so I can see myself, OR I repeat and see if I can manage a symptom like agitation or tachypnea so they can pass.
This is such a huge problem, and can undermine review papers. We spend so much time dissecting papers, and then when a review paper comes out, all of that nuance is gone. It really highlights the need for expertise and context when interpreting anything.

I’ve heard it many times. The 2 prior intifadas were extremely violent. So I think my experience is different than yours which may shadow some of this. He himself said the word was used by the holocaust museum to describe the Warsaw ghetto uprising. Also he isn’t making the argument it’s obscure.
It’s not a one off at a rally it’s a prominent expression of a movement that he has made a part of his political brand. It’s an expression used to justify violence. It would be one thing if he hasn’t been involved since college, but he has, and it’s a loud part of a movement he is part of.
He has been at several post October 7th rallies, he is involved in anti Israel legislature. This wasn’t “a thing he did in college”- his views on this are clear. I think, within my ability to try to find news and be educated, I’d hold anyone to that standard.

For sure, but for better or worse, we’ve moved to a place where all politics is national if not global. And it’s hard not to look at him and see someone with higher aspirations. I find his non answer telling, and I’m not sure it’s saved him from the firing squad.

But he got into this game. There is an easy answer here- “ there have been 2 intifadas that resulted in a lot of death, and not a lot of progress. Death wasn’t the answer then, and it’s not the answer now. We need to find a better way forward”
