Hope & desperation. With an increasing amount of freelancer jobs requiring AI exp, the president hiding the jobs numbers, numerous states in a recession, and Altman saying out loud that there's an AI bubble, people are desperate for anyone with clout to say that it'll all be over soon. Few else are.
Um, that's kind of the point of the whole post. Now is the time to unionize and fight, lest you end up with the unemployed masses scrambling for jobs in an ever automated future.
