There are a few nice free ones on the DMC website. I also found this, which isn't technically a sampler but gives the same vibe. I can't wait to get started. The black aida cloth arrived only today. I need to inventory my threads and order whatever I'm missing. www.etsy.com/ie/listing/1...

I got a little foam footstool for under my desk after reading a thread on here about "what have you bought lately that was great" — people talked about little doo-dads they bought that improved their quality of life. And, yeah. This thing is amazing. Highly recommend if you're at the desk for hours.

I have hunted pheasant, and tagged along on plenty of rabbit and deer trips so I could field dress them. The land was always family-owned/leased, either ours or a friend's. Those animals threatened crops and are prone to overpopulation in that area, so it was a win/win.

My family were subsistence hunters. A deer can keep a family of four fed well for at least half a year, and we kept chickens for the rest. Everybody had kitchen gardens and vegetable patches, and canned every single thing that wasn't eaten as soon as it was picked. It's just how we lived.
