You are right. But the MAGAs know that too. That’s why they are banning books, obliterating universal rights, and hiding historical atrocities from young and impressionable people. Dems need to bring ‘the young’ together and listen to them. Find their focus - follow it and fix it for them.
Further to my earlier comment - @lincolnproject.us is following a similar slate to the one I proposed. I know that they are primarily concerned with Trump and MAGA but their rationale and the design of their play is spot on.
Dems need to get their act together to battle Trump’s dementia & corruption. E.g. adverts aimed at 35yo’s in all rural states explaining that their parents are about to lose their med insurance with BBB. All GOP utterances need to be buried with better stories, better news and understandable truths.
