Accidentally stayed up all night building a simple free tool which automatically generates lightweight landing pages for your game. It even automatically grabs social links from your website, and stays up-to-date. Will release it into beta this week if thereās interest!
It bewildered me at the time why anyone would pay the 2025 equivalent of Ā£30 to look at London for half an hour. Iād probably enjoy it more now. Also, these people have no idea thereās a photo of them from 20 years ago. Thatās pretty interesting to me.

It was this exact phone that got me into coding. I started off with WML (the WAP compatible cousin of HTML) because I thought it would be so cool to have a gaming news site which worked on mobile. The site is completely lost to time but I still have some of the articles which were written for it!

This is awesome. Any chance of getting 1:1 rips for historical posterity? They wonāt be encrypted so anything which can make an ISO would do the job, Thereās also piece of software called DVD Decrypter which makes the process super easy, if they are encrypted.

Niche post incomingā¦ Iām literally inside a faraday cage. This pub has installed a metal net to prevent birds from stealing food. But as a result, zero phone reception despite being outdoors. Pretty cool, actually.
Having installed Windows 95 from floppy disks back in the way, I definitely know this pain well.
Live service is the issue in this particular case. They often wonāt let you play *at all* unless youāre fully up-to-date. A friend will message me āwant to play for 30 mins?ā And it takes that long just to get in game. Switch is definitely less prone to this problem, for sure.
I do have that enabled, but it sometimes updates whilst sleeping, and other times doesnāt š¤
Iām actually quite surprised Sonyās servers are that fast. Updates on Xbox take quite a lot longer.
