I should probably rewatch Look Back but I don't know if i'm ready to be as emotionally destroyed again.
Chainsaw Man Movie AND a Fujimoto anthology in like a week of each other. Going to be a great Autumn season.
Probably best for my wallet that the Junji Ito Hobonichi covers went out of stock immediately and doesn't look like they'll be restocked at all.
If the suspense doesn't kill you, something else will.
Yeah both that and the RE4 port justified my Oculus purchase. Put way too many hours into both.
Also as weird as it may seem to say since...it's Tetris BUT Tetris Effect is one of the best games ever made and 100000% worth your time.
Lumines Arise demo is up until the third on the Playstation Store and a lot of fun. Definitely has that Tetris Effect quality of music mixed with gameplay even though it takes a bit more for my brain to get wrapped around everything going on at once.

Wild that with Silksong out in just 4 days the discourse has been either "it's not fair for Team Cherry to give such little notice to other companies" and now "it's not fair for Team Cherry to charge so little for the game". Definitely feels like they can't win no matter what.

Wrapped up Silent Hill 2 remake. A very good game and a very good remake. I have some issues with there being too much combat and the bosses being meh and well unfortunately for the game the story doesn't have the kick when it's so well known but a well done update.

Yeah it just released the other week, i was 100% holding out for that cos it's the perfect pick up and play kind of thing.
Yeah it's only 3hrs, unfortunately the only game of its type in the collection but i'm enjoying a lot of the rest of them. I know there's also a meta narrative in the game too but haven't found anything like that yet.
Yeah it's great. As I soon as I saw the car I was like, this has to be the Clock Tower bad ending, but had to try either way π
Silksong, Silent Hill f AND Ghost of Yotei all out within a month from next week. Pray for my backlog.
I'm just wrapping it up and it's surprisingly good. Not as great as the original and the bosses need a bit of work BUT way better than i expected Blooper Silent Hill to be.
Oh man haven't touched that in years either. It's so good. I've found a few fun games in UFO 50 but this one has definitely scratched the itch for me.
Not saying I got UFO 50 JUST for Night Manor but it's a really great Clock Tower homage.

Yeah Revelation games are canon. I thought 2 was okay but didn't care for 1 too much. Well they are canon until either 9 contradicts them or they change anything else. 0 and Code Veronica are the next two remakes up and 0 in particular i feel really needs one.
I'm guessing they are ignoring her until the remake comes out in a few years time. I'm just glad they acknowledge Jill since without the boring 3 remake she hasn't been a protaganist in years π

I'm curious how Doomsday ends since they are constantly rewriting and reshooting entire sections because Russo's and Downey Jr are changing minds on how things should constantly be. Honestly think it'll have another Endgame level mess, especially since the intention going forward IS to do a reboot

Yup all same with me. I know they tried to argue that part of the Avengers calculations is that they make sure people don't resnap like in the sky or surgery or shite like that but it's dumb. Spider-Man stuff treated it as a joke and the Winter Solider stuff treated it serious about displacement
I stand by not only was that selfish but the creative choice to do so cos the Russo's and Downey Jr didn't want the time travel to be pitched as "it was basically all a dream" ruined all the future films after that they are still trying to recover from creatively cos nobody knew how to deal with it.

The Abstract Daddy fight in Silent Hill 2 remake really brings the game to a screeching hault. Going to power through the labyrinth but yeah...not great update there.

I will say. As bad as the Acrobatic Silky backstory was there's even more upsetting things to come π I loved this week too. They slightly changed the translation but I burst out laughing in the manga when Turbo Granny was talking up Okarun
My favourite goobers. And the cast just gets even better as it goes on.
I hope there's less in the Silent Hill remake. I feel like 2 already doesn't let you explore the town enough (you're 90% of the time in the Otherworld) and adding more enemies will just make it worse. Best part of 1 is definitely just wandering around the town.
My only complaint for Silent Hill 2 so far is that I feel like there's way too much combat. The game counters this by giving you plenty of health and weapons but i'd rather less of it. Not that it's bad, just it feels a bit more bothersome to the mood.
Some more cos I think the game does look nice when you add the retro filter to it.

It's a lot of fun. Both it and Chainsaw Man are my favourite series going, you just need to accept at no point in time are you going to be prepared for what happens next π

As someone that... may enjoy the Alien franchise π Alien:Earth did not disappoint. A great mix of Noah Hawley's sensibilites with the Alien mythos which so far at least is not being as fan fictiony as Romulus could get.
Oh shit that looks great. Yeah I love the apartment stuff in 4 and don't mind the initial loop, but subsequent "go back to try and go somewhere else to advance the plot" doesn't really work even though i think there's a more interesting story there than the subsequent games
I know the goal is obviously to do 1 and then 3 but i do wonder if they'd ever get around to 4. On one hand the gameplay is super convuluted but on the other hand it's the most PS2 graphics asthetic one for me.

I don' t know how he does it but i appreciate Kostanski just constantly churning out fun throwback stuff. Really looking for to this. Defintely check out Psycho Goreman and Frankie Freako if you haven't already.
