I know the goal is obviously to do 1 and then 3 but i do wonder if they'd ever get around to 4. On one hand the gameplay is super convuluted but on the other hand it's the most PS2 graphics asthetic one for me.
I have a weird relationship with 4 since it's linked to 2. It's got some genuinely terrifying moments in it, but it is also as you say, it's also convoluted and clunky as hell. Bought this at the time and it survived the 2006 move. Discovered it again in a tube about 5 years later and framed it!
Oh shit that looks great. Yeah I love the apartment stuff in 4 and don't mind the initial loop, but subsequent "go back to try and go somewhere else to advance the plot" doesn't really work even though i think there's a more interesting story there than the subsequent games
It's double sided too! 😊 There's some excellent horror aspects to it, but some of the execution just doesn't work well. Also, knowing the previous owner of the apartment (Joseph?) is voiced by the guy who did Alucard in Castlevania: SotN always tickled me!
