Yeah, Idk how many are staying in hotels, but they have to stay somewhere. I don't think the UK has many Asylum centers ( like we have in the Netherlands) to house them? Many also just stay with family, also one of the biggest draws of the UK. You don't have to register at an address in the UK, easy

Yes that could also be, too much MO in a build will mess the game up. Certainly if a save is full of such builds. The game loads a part of them even if you are just in manage worlds.

If we get hotels, if ever...we will be able to run it. I'm using B&H now to run a B&B and it sorta works. They just go into random rooms and sleep there and shower, watch TV. And I feel em once a day.

No I didn't expect it to be. More like World Adventures probably where you can actually choose holiday activities ( like we have for weddings) before going. Sims2 you could go on a helicopter ride! If it's hotels, it would be running one and it would be the main focus. Camp/ outing event ...yes
I think it might be one activity you can do when on holiday, instead of adding more new things ( like archery) at least they can just redo some gym equipment and animations and call it a day. Maybe just weights are new, but the bikes are just like any other we have already.
Yes, it's kinda weird?? They should just have added it all in a Gym pack or paired it with Spa day as a Gamepack.
That would mean integrating it with EA systems, while they usually don't want to cozy up to mods too much. But it would help. Some that are very ridiculous are obviously made with TOOL, others its not that clear

I think they will do very different things ( seeing pack suggestions in surveys) if more people ask for them. Cross-pack compatibility plays a big role in that, so it helps if you already invested in other packs and you get bonus gameplay. Like in B&H where you have more options to create a business

I think themes are fine, but re-used animations ( like the ones in EBN) are not. I pay for new animations, that's a big reason to get a new pack. To see them use the 'Scavenging' ground ( Island Living + Werewolves) again for this pack just made me so mad. Same with the sleeping on the ground 🙄

They're doing 3 EPs a year, no Game packs or Stuff packs and 17 (!!) kits ( some designed by CC creators, so saves them money ). But they can obviously not hack it. 1 EP a year is plenty and then 2 gamepacks and a stuff pack would have been fine.
They're pumping them out at a much faster pace, mostly because the cost of creating a game has gone up astronomically and the price of packs has stayed the same over the last 10 years. Rush jobs will cost them money in the end though, as sales of EBN will probably show. Angry players won't buy
Pack refreshes don't make money, and shareholders are too greedy to let EA do this on a larger scale. Like we are getting an Adventure ( Outdoor Retreat) pack now, but since OR was the first ever pack no chance they'll go back and change that pack. Waste of money and cost of making games has gone up

That too. I never download builds that already look like they've used the TOOL mod. As I think last year that was very broken at some point and builds with it have a chance of being corrupted. I don't download builds usually anyway as I build my own stuff mostly. Sometimes maybe a restaurant.
I think they are making so many changes to the basegame atm that some older builds might be incompatible. That's not something EA wants to come out with though as the Gallery is one of the biggest selling point of the game. And if my older builds are now bugged, that would make me angry too. Bad PR
CAS CC can crash the game as well though. It's rare but can happen.
Okay but without mods and a new Sims4 folder? Like make a backup of Saves/Tray/screenshots folder ( take out the mods folder) and then delete the whole Sims 4 documents folder. The game will generate a clean one when you start up the game. Test it out without saves and then with saves.
Was it from the Gallery by any chance? I was showing a friend how the gallery works and placed a popular build. But then I couldn't delete anything anymore, in that house or any other. I closed without saving and took the build out of the Tray folder. Deleted Localthumbcache and then it was fine.
The Gameplay ones, yes. And a playable career that's actually fun and not something that breaks the game ( Ailments) for people. I really don't want another system yea, I already have Lifestyles/Romance dynamics/Fame etc. It's getting too much and all they do usually is give a moodlet.

Yeah, only the Fairy part, the BB and CAS are attractive. Maybe the indoor plants too. So half of the pack is totally unnecessary and I refuse to pay for features I don't even want to use. When it's 50% off I'll have another look. Shame as I LOVE Fairies and asked EA for years for them 😑
I think maybe some lots on the gallery might be broken, certainly older ones?
Yeah the 'Homeless skill' should have been in a special Rags to Riches gamepack or something, and they should have made Plantsims a full occult. Maybe a Fairy Court with Royalty and such would have made more sense than Herbalism 2.0 and Ailments/Balance/Luck no one asked for. The Fairy mod is class!
True, but that pack came out years ago, hard to retroactively change that? I don't think they plan that far ahead anyway. Lovestruck should have been Paris ( I guess that's why they did the Bistro kit?) and should have other skills/events too. A playable career would have helped.

This, I've experienced myself too many times. Both ways. Someone clinging desperately to me and never really believing or trusting I love them back. Or me looking for confirmation all the time from someone else who can't give it to me because they are so messed up themselves.
Yes you are, but it's hard to love back or give others what they need as well. That's what's meant by it. If you are so full of self loathing it's difficult to accept others love you and often leads to co-dependancy and hurt. You deserve love, but others do too. Can you give it to them?

The new 'Adventure awaits' EP looks somewhat promising. It's apparent focus is children and their adventures. I do like more content for kids as I play families a lot. We have had some in GT and Parenthood, but it's still a phase that could use more gameplay. #thesims4
Nah B&H has enough play possibilities and content for an EP, Lovestruck didn't though and neither does EBN. It seems they're doing one Big Ep followed with a small EP now, for the same price. So this could be a 'big' one again, but I'm not holding my breath.
But fixing things doesn't generate income for them, only when the game is so broken that they HAVE to fix it else people will stop buying things...will they do more. But if sales are TOO low then it's no longer cash cow and they'll invest even less. It's a fine line there.
They shouldn't have tried to do 3 Eps in one year, the EBN pack was obviously rushed ( the NPC fairies aren't even actually fairies ffs) and should have been a smaller gamepack instead. But prices have gone up and they need to make money. I'm gonna wait until I know for sure this one isn't a dud too
Yeah not so much a 'leak' usually but a covert way to see how much interest there is for a pack and start the hype ( heh) early. Looks fun though, but at the moment the game already has issues dealing with complexity of saves and I'm not sure I want to chance it. 3 Eps per year is also too much

yeah they obviously test way too little at the moment, the issues with the Fairy Occult form for instance and the wings disappearing and not appearing again are big ones for me. And the NPC Fairies, not being fairies at all shout RUSH JOB at me. Launching it with too many bugs will cost them

We had one program that we had to replace because the code was so locked that the devs couldn't change that much anymore and the people who had worked on it and knew how to handle it had long left the company. That's the danger of having old software of TS4 still being worked on by different people
I used to work in tech support for a big software ( make online assessments for job applications) and even though we did a lot of testing before releasing anything some issues came up invariably that we never counted on. Software isn't an exact science, at all. Certainly if it's old like the Sim4.
I mean they just throw stuff out there and rely on us to do final tests ( aka the 'Agile' software development way)but in this context I agree with them. They can't possibly replicate the environment of every player as they have a mix of packs, complex saves and a big variety of PC's they play on.
No, it's usually when you do anything with software or secret developments. I've worked as a localisation tester ( testing Dutch language translations for games) before and worked as tech support so I'm no stranger to them.
I mean it was just a question, hopefully everyone will tell them to NOT do it and they won't. Their brand is hurt enough already with the bugs and the shopping cart...it might bring in some petty cash but it won't be worth the fallout
Yes, they are pushing out surveys like hot cakes now, probably because sales aren't great atm ( that's usually when companies start to listen ) and they get more people complaining on reveal posts than people actually being exited.

At least they ask ( some of us) now if they really should make some of those choices. Some EA execs only have $$ for brains and no idea what players actually want and will pay A LOT for. Because we really have, spent a lot. That's not because we are so rich 😆
And what parts I use of the game ( traits, careers, aspirations) to tell my stories and what parts I value when buying a pack. And also gave me space to tell me what story I was playing now. I'm happy that they realise that is probably the most important part of the game and why people come back.
I really hope they won't, I told them if they like Hate mail and people throwing a fit they should definitely do that. Like a pair of glasses ( from the last event) is one thing, face presets and poses are quite another. It's not cool.
That was just 1 part of it though, they also gave me pack combination suggestions ( like lot traits, careers etc) and prices that you could choose between. It was very indepth.
For each one I found interesting there was a 'please explain what you would specifically like/expect in such a pack' box with unlimited space to type whatever. So I gave them a piece of my mind hahaah. I hope they'll listen.
They had a whole list ( I think over 10?) of pack suggestions, so can imagine they don't want to share those too widely. That's why I didn't take screenshots, although its under a different email than this account. Good ideas though, some similar to the ones from a survey last year.
Yes, I'm registered as a playtester so I get surveys sometimes that are not generally online. Took me 45 minutes to fill it in as many were open questions and I have a lot of ideas!

From other bugs, even minor ones people do seem to be able to find the forum though? I would think people whose whole game is disintegrating would eventually find the forum or where to report it.
And yes, the game has gotten too big and complex, adding in people have big saves and a world half full of cluttered Gallery builds and 200+ self created sims. Same happened with Sims3, just 5 years later. They SHOULD have had a replacement ready. All we got was horrible Project Rene.
I mean they also are lazy with testing, like what happened with the Ailments pandemic. They could have forseen, and tested that feature and realised that it's crap. Same with fairy wings disappearing. Other issues ( like the save file problems) are almost impossible to replicate on a vanilla save.
I mean yeah it can be true alright, just this photo most likely isn't. There is a blurred line between the cat and the soldier. Unlike this one where it's clear the cat belongs in the photo

Yeah they throw things at the wall and see what happens. Then again, it's almost impossible for them to recreate specific situations where some more complex problems occur ( not you ailments) as players have huge saves sometimes, with mods,10+ generations etc. Sometimes unforeseen things can happen.
I've always wondered why those issues are not at the top of the list, it seems not a lot of people are actually experiencing these? Most of those bugs have a lot of votes/posts by people upset about the problem, but not actually reporting it or providing saves.
