It’s unsettling but I was drawn in completely to the raw emotions, resentments, claustrophobic atmosphere. It’s the ā€œreddestā€ film I’ve ever seen, much like a White Stripes album cover, haha. Not for everyone, but I think it’s a masterpiece of human suffering. Hope you see a better copy someday.

Sunday morning #western: HANG ā€˜EM HIGH (1968) Clint Eastwood’s character is rescued after a posse wrongly hangs him for stealing cattle. You do that to Clint; you pay. He becomes a marshal intent on revenge in this fine Hollywood film reminiscent of Sergio Leone’s spaghetti westerns. #FilmSky

First watch: CRACK-UP (1946) is a muddled mess, a noir-ish film that fails to muster suspense as an art critic/lecturer becomes embroiled in an eye-rolling plot involving the elitist art world, murder and real-versus-fake paintings. Dreadful #NoirAlley feature. #FilmSky #MovieSky #noir

As long as he’s personally included in the sale with no possibility of returning to US soil, I’m good with it.

No worries. Glad you liked my list. Thought maybe you had sent a fave Dots and Loops track in the link. Wonderful album! Refried Ectoplasm [Switched On Vol. 2] was another big one for me. Such a great compilation of songs I wasn’t familiar with until that point.

Thanks. Love this band. I had Brakhage from Dots and Loops at #4. For some reason your link isn’t opening for me. Hmmm.

It didn’t. I had to omit so many great tunes. But you are absolutely right.

#ArtistFave15 #Stereolab 2. Stereolab proved they could rock out on this track, a fierce, hypnotic driving force that can please shoegazers, drone-pop fans and garage rock connoisseurs alike. An avant-garde treasure. John Cage Bubblegum youtu.be/RhChLrhTJDE?... #MusicChallenge #MusicSky

2/2 I was transfixed, astonished by the film’s post-industrial look, oddball characters, gore, dark humor and surreal images. Love the lady in the radiator’s sweet, unsettling demeanor as she sings ā€˜In Heaven’ while stepping on sperm-like creatures. A truly bizarre masterpiece. #FilmSky #MovieSky
