First watch: Director extraordinaire John Ford strikes gold in MY DARLING CLEMENTINE (1946), a first-rate #western starring Henry Fonda as Wyatt Earp, a cattle driver-turned-marshal out to avenge his brother’s killing. Plenty of #drama. Fine cast, cinematography. #FilmSky #MovieSky

This was the Ford film that really made me sit up and admire him as an artist. The compositions are really quite beautiful in this.

They really are! Love this film. The one that first drew me to Ford is The Grapes of Wrath, one of my top 10 of all time.

Ford was a great director. Johnsaccone.com Check out my latest post Hit Man: "In life, some things you just have to lose along the way. Is it justified? Is it smart? I don't know. It just happens. How does one become a killer? How does one become a hit man for the mob?"
