This was the Ford film that really made me sit up and admire him as an artist. The compositions are really quite beautiful in this.
They really are! Love this film. The one that first drew me to Ford is The Grapes of Wrath, one of my top 10 of all time.
I dig the book, but haven't seen the film.
Watching Fonda dance is worth viewing.
