I know it can feel uncomfortable to get in their faces, but there are too many signs that we are quickly heading to a really dark place. Massive public outcry & mobilization is our only chance, and I'm afraid we don't have much more time. "There comes a time when silence is betrayal." MLK Jr.

If you haven't watched his press conference, you should. The mayor of the 3rd largest city in the US just announced that he is preparing his police & other government agencies to fend off a federal invasion. It's time to sound the alarms. Talk to friends & family. Let's help shake the apathy away.

This is a good article, but these few paragraphs are key. Do you think the admin would take all of these extrajudicial steps, consolidating power etc if they planned on holding free & fair elections? Would they stand for Dems taking these actions? Then that's the answer to the previous question.
David Bulcock (@davidbulcock.bsky.social) reply parent

It's a matter of keeping him until he is no longer useful. Let him use his cult like personality to push the unpopular agenda as far as he can, and then dispatch with him when he's no longer convenient. Maybe even use the Epstein files at the right time to make his base turn against him.
David Bulcock (@davidbulcock.bsky.social) reply parent
The removal of Trump placates enough low information voters into thinking the Republicans have "found reason". I think DT is actually a liability to the oligarch's overall goal, he is an imperfect tool they are using & if they can successfully remove him from the equation, it would benefit them.
David Bulcock (@davidbulcock.bsky.social) reply parent
Who knows though. In the end we have to recognize that DT isn't our biggest problem. He's the most bombastic personality currently, but there are a lot of nefarious moves happening that will still be in place after he's gone. This is crazy.
David Bulcock (@davidbulcock.bsky.social) reply parent
I think they tested out the strategy with Elon when they had him leave DOGE. For all intents & purposes the same apparatus is still in place but because he is no longer involved, it's out of the headlines. Using DT as a scapegoat gives them a brief moment of calm to really set the hook.

John Bolton is arguably a war criminal. That being said, this is an obvious attempt at intimidating a political opponent using federal law-enforcement. This is despicable. I have no love for John Bolton, but it is very obvious what is happening. They are starting with him because he is unpopular.

I think a lot of Dems voted to keep Trump out of office. I think Trump voters voted for someone who "says it like it is", will "drain the swamp" or wasn't part of the establishment. Sanders had the same populist energy and messaging that Trump had & could've swung it. It's all conjecture though.

They are legitimizing invasions of sovereign countries as a valid form of territorial expansion. I think they have plans.
David Bulcock (@davidbulcock.bsky.social) reply parent
The only reason I think he would've won is that a lot of main stream Dems were so turned off by DT that they would've pulled the lever for Bernie just to keep him out of office, & the populist movement that wanted to stick it to "the establishment" liked Bernie more than Trump. That was the swing.
David Bulcock (@davidbulcock.bsky.social) reply parent
We can relitigate this again & again. The pundit class said that Donald Trump stood no chance against Clinton, but the wave of populous sentiment pushed him past her. The same populous sentiment was behind Bernie as well. We will never know, but I think there is an argument both ways.
David Bulcock (@davidbulcock.bsky.social) reply parent
They are telling us in no uncertain terms that they see the invasion of sovereign nations as a valid form of territorial expansion. They will use this justification to invade countries themselves. See all the rhetoric around Greenland.

Guys, this is the not-so-subtle way for the administration to tell the world that an invasion of a sovereign country is a valid way to "earn new territory". They are telling you that invasions are valid forms of territorial expansion. They probably plan on doing some of it themselves. (Greenland?)
David Bulcock (@davidbulcock.bsky.social)
The scary part is that I think about a third of the country agrees with this. Intense misogyny has always been just under the surface of the GOP. Now they are on their normalization tour. They want this to seem like a valid stance in the general political discourse. It's not valid! It's wrong!
