I think that those 3% figures or 10s of millions work best in small countries where everyone goes to one place to protest. In a large nation like ours where everyone is disparate. Getting what is or appears to be a critical mass is difficult.
I was out last week, with a couple of blocks of gray hairs. Only me and two other women were remotely under 60. I struggle at the disengagement - at work, in our communities, everywhere. I think people either have no idea what is going on, or no idea how to respond to it.
