I said the same to my sister about 6 weeks ago. 'The shelves are practically empty' and we both thought 'oh no, it's going bust'. It's is/was a cracking shop - better than the extortionate Superdrug.

I did a survey for Ancestry a couple of weeks ago & got an email earlier saying I'd been picked to receive a £50 Amazon gift card. It wasn't a scam! So I told my sister I was splitting it 50/50. 3 books for her & a cute little Wrendale vase for me are on their way! Fastest I've ever spent £50.00 🤣🤣

I inadvertently saw a video of a toddler being deliberately hurt this morning by a man in Belarus. He had escaped from Iran with his parents & was in the airport. It was sickening. Now in a coma. I can't stop thinking about him. I hope he survives.

Tell me about it. I finished decorating my bedroom the other week after struggling to cover the new anaglypta I put on (forgot it was a pain to paint). Painted my ensuite walls yesterday. Looked great. Went in this morning and swore. Blotchy 😭 Second coat applied. 😬 It's not getting a third.

Certainly is. She was our best friend. Even though I was 54 & my sister 62 & mum had been poorly for a long time, we still expected her to bounce back like she'd done so many times before. The realisation you're now orphans, even at our ages was devastating.
I truly don't understand the reasons behind this. Some of the best care I received in hospital was by so called 'non English' people. They were absolutely superb and lovely.
I preferred Meatloaf and Queen plus Adam and the Ants (the songs pre fame) so I was a bit odd 😜
It's a shame you're not allowed to give them away but I can understand why not.
