I can not believe the DHS is a popular take. If it is, the hypocrisy is astounding.
The community took every last one of them, advised not to worry about status, and we fed, clothed, transported, and found alternate housing for every last one of them. It took time, but the entire community, including fire and police participated. Many of those helping are Trump supporters.
𧡠In my area, a few years ago, there was a fire in an old historic building that housed Hispanic families, many generations. Everything was lost. The press came and of course responders and many residents cowered behind the scenes because a good number were undocumented.
