Really depends. If you own an older not-easily-rippable version of something (VHS, cartridge based games), I see no moral wrongness to the act of finding it another way. In addition, if you’re making a genuine effort to find and pay for a legal but it doesn’t exist, then that’s a grey decision.

It really seems like a simple search would directly connect David Baszucki to that dystopian plan. Maybe he's one of the sponsors, or is a member of a Project 2025-focused donor group. IF he were, it would mean this is all a set-up, and he's intentionally messing up Roblox to ensure KOSA is passed.
